A two-month voyage through Australia is being halted in the wake of the fatal incident of an elderly woman who was stranded by the vessel on a remote island.

The passenger had been trekking on the tropical location with shipmates from the Coral Adventurer, but parted ways from the excursion for a pause. The ship left without her and came back several hours later after the ship staff discovered the woman was not present.

An extensive hunt discovered her person the next day.

Authorities are looking into the event, together with investigators and the official investigator.

The CEO of the shipping company announced that passengers and crew on the Coral Adventurer were informed that the rest of the cruise had been terminated due to the "sad loss and earlier technical problems".

Through an announcement, he further stated that guests would be provided a total repayment, and said the company was working "to coordinate the homeward trips of the travelers via private aircraft".
