British boxer Anthony Joshua Discharged from Hospital in Nigeria Following Deadly Car Crash

The British boxer Anthony Joshua has been discharged from hospital, officials in Lagos stated on Wednesday night. The athlete was involved in a car accident outside Lagos on Monday, a devastating event that took the lives of two of his close associates.

Under Observation for Minor Injuries

Joshua had been under observation while recuperating from non-critical injuries, representatives had said on Monday. A government official, Gbenga Omotoso, said in a statement online that Joshua was deemed clinically fit to “recuperate at home”.

“The boxer and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to say their last goodbyes to his two deceased friends as they were being prepared for repatriation,” the official remarked.

A Tribute to the Fallen

The victims of the crash were identified as Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a conditioning specialist. Omotoso added that the boxer was “heavy-hearted and full of emotions over the tragic loss of his two close friends.”

The news of his discharge comes as the global fight fans offered condolences for the fighter in the wake of the terrible crash.
